CSS-based designs

By using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to separate the formatting from the content, your website will be search engine friendly as well as easy to update as needed.

At Such a Difference we use a CSS-based design, which means that a separate stylesheet is used to actually create the style of the webpage.  The content is contained in the code itself and the formatting is then applied to it by the stylesheet.  The World Wide Web (W3) Consortium recommends using CSS-based layout because it creates "cleaner" code.  In addition, XHTML/CSS pages are easier for search engines to crawl which could result in higher rankings.
